I have so many ideas for nursery, especially for our outdoor provision. As the weather (hopefully) gets brighter, it is lovely for the children to learn outside. I have my heart set on a music wall and a mud kitchen!! I am looking for donations of old kitchen supplies - pots, pans, sieves, colanders, cake tins etc, as well as anything waterproof the children can bang to make a noise! If you want to know more about my plans, or how you can help, please pop in to see me. I will keep you all updated. Thank you so much for your continued support.

As you know, we normally have a letter of the week. However we have decided to keep D for a fortnight because it fits in well with St, David's day, and we have so much to do!!! In addition to learning d we will also be re-visiting letters learnt so far - s a t p i n. We will be sorting letters and trying to blend to make words. I was away all half term having a wonderfully snowy time in Austria, and I forgot to put up the photos from M week. My apologies!! M was a great week for us, we played music, made marshmallow cakes, role played with money and had a melting exoeriment. Who could free the octopuses from the ice quickest??? Your children really impressed me when it came to our science experiment. They tried hitting the ice, pouring cold and warm water on it, sprinkling salt, sand and grit on it. They put it on the radiator, and eventually some bright spark came up with the idea of microwaving it 😃 All the children were happy once the octopuses were all free again. Great fun!!
It has been a very busy week so far in nursery. We have played pass the parcel, played with pink playdough, painted pasta, potato printed pictures, made pink handprints with colour mixing, learnt about people who help us, and sequenced the story of the three little pigs - phew!! We have also had our pyjama party. We all came to school in our pjs, and played party games. We also looked at popcorn, and saw how it changes after it is cooked. All the children really enjoyed 😃
The nursery class are having a pyjama party this week, as our letter is P and I need very little encourage to wear my pjs all day!! Morning nursery will have their party on Wednesday morning, and afternoon nursery's party will be held on Thursday afternoon. We will be popping popcorn and playing party games. Totally optional, don't worry if your child is not keen on wearing pyjamas to school. As always there will be plenty of photos to follow. Thank you all so much for your continued support.
