But he has been very, very busy doing some home learning of his own!
He counted 6 gnomes in the garden, 5 daisies on the grass, 12 steps in the garden, 10 pegs on the washing line and 4 cushions on the sofa.
Can you find the letters needed to correctly spell your name?
CHALLENGE: Can you practise writing your name?
To begin with children can overwrite a highlighter/felt pen, then progress to forming the letters independently. If they struggle with forming a particular letter get them to practise this letter on its own (like Gary is practising a).
Gary used some Easter eggs (just cut out from coloured paper- if you don't have coloured paper- empty cardboard/cereal boxes cut out will work!) to practise lots of important maths skills.
To practise the skills, your eggs will need to be different colours and different sizes.
CHALLENGE: Can you use your Easter eggs to create your own repeating pattern?
Gary went to find the Easter eggs around the garden. Gary was able to say where he found the eggs using prepositional vocabulary. He said the egg was ON the chair, UNDER the watering can, IN the plant pot. CHALLENGE: Can you find the Easter eggs and tell your adult where they were? Can you listen to instructions from your adult and put the egg in the correct place? Have a go with this vocabulary: IN, ON, UNDER, IN FRONT, BEHIND Then give them instructions e.g. put the egg behind the shed. |
Keep safe everyone and wishing you a very Happy Easter!
Miss Miller and Gary the Gorilla :)
