Despite being up to our eyes in glitter and Christmas preparations, we haven't forgotten that our topic this term is Africa. This week we held an Africa morning, with a very special VIP guest (my mum!) who has been to Africa numerous times, and has even lived there. We looked at African animals, played instruments, did colouring and painting, and even searched for African animals in our magic garden. Here is a taste of what we got up to...Oops just in time before the seasons change, nursery children looking for signs of Autumn. We love outdoor learning, and using the magic garden.Thank you so much for all your donations, and for dressing your children so brilliantly. We had a fab morning, I think having toast in the canteen was a real highlight 😊We all had a big surprise today when Pudsey Bear came to visit. He reminded us that tomorrow is Children in Need day. The children can dress in spots instead of uniform, and we will be accepting donations.Nursery has a gingerbread theme this week. We are listening to the story and re-telling it. Making and decorating gingerbread men, and in the creative corner we have gingerbread playdough, gingerbread collage, painting and drawing. Check back at the end of the week for lots of photos. The nursery children have produced some stunning artwork for our fireworks theme. We have had fun with sparkly playdough, and making firework movements. We even made chocolate sparklers. 😊
We all had so much fun at our Halloween disco. Nursery children looked spooky and fabulous! Thank you for dressing them up 😊 |
